1.一般现在时：如我是西华大学的一名老师—I'm a teacher of Xihua University.（am为一般现在时态，指我目前正在西华上班）。
2.一般过去时：已经过去的事情。以上句为例—I was a teacher of Xihua University.(be动词用的是过去时态，指我曾是那里的老师，现在已不是)；
3.一般将来时：可以预见的、将来会发生的事，如一位孕妇说：我的孩子将在3个月后出生，My child will be born in 3 months；
4.现在进行时：现在正在进行的动作，以ing形式体现，如爸爸正在看电视—My father is watching TV；
5.过去进行时：过去正在进行的动作，注意：该时态包含两个动作——过去一方的动作+另一方正在进行的动作，如我昨天打电话给李梅时，她正在写作业；
6.现在完成时：到目前为止已经完成的动作，如我已经把作文写完了。
