l‘d like to tellyou something about Beijing Opera.Beijing Opera is a great artwith ahistory ofmore than200 years. In the 1790s , the emperor was very interestedin local operas. To make the emperor happy, a new kindofopera- -Beijing Opera came into being slowly.
There arefour main roles in Beijing Opera: Sheng,Dan, Jing and Chou. It’s full of famous stories, beautiful facial paintings and wonderful gestures and fighting.
Now Beijing Opera is still popular with Chinese people. More and moreyoung people like to watch it andwant to learn it.
