In our spare time, watching TV may be a good choice to take a rest and we always get a lot of fun and information from TV programmes. However, if we get addicted to TV like the boy in the picture, it will cause big problems. The boy in the picture almost can’t live without TV, just keeping a remote control in his hand and no one can help or stop him. In my opinion, watching TV is not bad, but we should spend a proper amount of time on it.
Watching TV too long is a kind of wasting time. In most cases, we learn little from the TV programmes. Suppose we spend the time which is used to watch TV on study, we can get much more improvement and achievements. What’s more, watching TV too long does harm to our health. For example, our eyesight is likely to decline, which may affect us throughout our lifetime.
There’s no denying that watching TV is a way of relaxation, so it’s reasonable to watch TV for a while when we’re tired and exhausted, and then continue to do something important.
Television is such a good invention that it keeps us informed of what is happening all over the world, but at the same time, we should control the time spent on it and never develop a bad habit. In one word, TV is just a tool for fun.
====================================================================
In the picture, we can see the parents are toughly pulling their little kid out of the TV, and the kid, as you can see, is just like a fool, without expression or emotion. It’s just a picture, but every day, in some families, it does happen.
It’s obvious that watching TV too long or playing too many video games is harmful to a student because it really takes up a lot of time for study and disturb our regular schedule. Secondly, the happiness is temporary but the cost is the permanent damage to your health and morality. A pair of glasses will soon climb onto your nose . What’s more, you will have no chance to develop your social skills and friendship with others if you seldom go out to experience the rich and lively world of reality.
The picture gives me some food for thought. Watching TV is a double-edged sword. What matters is to what extent we can control ourselves. On our way to success, we must bear in mind that we should be responsible for ourselves and never get addicted to anything that does harm to us physically and mentally.
