October 1st is our national day. When I was very young, my mother told me that on this day of every year, every Chinese would come to celebrate this festival. Before I was young, I could not understand the meaning of "celebration", but now I am a second grade student. When I saw the pictures of Chinese people celebrating abroad broadcast in newspapers and TV, my heart was very impulsive and wanted to express my own mood, but I didn't know how to use them. I asked my mother why Haiyan didn't hang lanterns all over the street and perform like other places. My mother said to me, each of us can have our own way to celebrate the national day, as long as we can express our hearts. Students, do you know how I celebrate national day later?
My mother and I found red and yellow cloth, made a national flag by ourselves, and put it in my room. Every morning, I open my eyes and see it at the first sight. Now I know that it's not necessary to express patriotic enthusiasm with gongs and drums. As long as my heart is full of love for the motherland, it's also my celebration of the motherland Festival.
