I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800's, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past.
I think Marguerite was right in saying that no one truly cared about her, but only wanted something from her, the only exceptions being Armand and Julie Duprat. Of course, the Comte de G. and Comte de N. wanted her body and appearance. The Duke needed to “wake up and smell the coffee” and realize that she could never replace his dead daughter. If he truly cared, he could have helped her leave her lifestyle without “keeping” her himself. And lastly, Prudence was a blood-sucking leech who used Marguerite almost worse than the men. I also think she was jealous of the fact that Marguerite had so much more courage than herself and someone truly loved her.

TESS is really a tragic figure in the book TESS of the d’Urberwilles.
She was seduced by a so-called gentleman—Alec, and from then on her life totally changed from this loss of innocence. People looked down on her and respected her no more. Actually she did nothing wrong because before she was seduced she knew nothing of men. She was just a girl when she first met that terrible man.
Without Angel’s love, nothing meant anything to her. The result wasn’t important now. Tess was arrested for her murder of that so-called gentleman. Tess didn’t want to be seduced by man and she had no power to defend herself so she lost her innocence and that’s all.
People gave birth to many girls in order to have only one boy to keep the family name going. They thought girls had no use for the family. They would be married and go to live with their husbands’ home and be their wives some day sooner or later. So they were extremely hard on girls. Now let’s not be so bitter. Nowadays women’s situations have become much better. Some are because of the change of society and some are because of civilization. Just let those poor painful women like TESS be just a memory.

Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters.
In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some people’s mind. A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages. Education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can money determine everything?
The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.

A few days ago, I read a very educational book "How to Make Steel's." This is an autobiography of the novel. Author Aositeluo夫斯基of their life experience to be summarized and refined to create a prototype for their own Paul. Kecha of this extraordinary and a great hero image.
Paul. Kecha after the October Revolution is the first generation of CYL members of the Soviet representatives, a strong Bolshevik soldiers. The author describes this profound inner world of the U.S. figures, showing the main character from childhood, until the civil war and joined the party after the maturity period of life experiences. He reflected in the revolutionary struggle of the Agni Bailianchenggang in the growth process.
Paul. Kecha from the Ukraine in a family of workers, in several decades of study and struggle to become a firm proletarian revolutionary fighter. He honesty from pristine, the body is the guts, fearless, but the exploiting classes have a deep-seated hatred and for resistance, self-motivated, loved to read books all kinds of revolutionary, ideological consciousness raising fast. He's a strong character, strong and unyielding in the face of the enemy, and a staunch enemy of the struggle. Is more important to him to self-reflection, in the minds of the remnants of their old ideological war, its customer service impact of anarchism, call the lack of organization and discipline of the concept. No longer do their own feelings and habits of slaves. He will themselves into the masses of people, completely selfless work, in order to the interests of the masses of the people willing to pay for all or even their lives. Faced with the deterioration of health conditions endured unrelenting pain, in another literary front to serve the people. He is an ordinary and the heroic image of the great.
How to Make Steel's ? Steel is the spirit of what ? In the fire in torment, in many difficulties to come forward and Jin in the fire in a much, in the evil forces of justice against oppression.
As in several Aositeluo夫斯基as described: the most precious is human life. Life belongs to people only once. Person's life should be spent this way: When reviewing the events of the past, he will not be wasted because the Mood for Love and remorse, not because Luluwuwei and ashamed; dying again when he's able to have a clear conscience, said: "My whole life and All energy, have been dedicated to the world's most magnificent cause - the liberation of mankind and fight! "People should be hastened, full of life, because of illness or accident tragic accidents can always end his life.
Youth are always beautiful, but the real youth will always strive to only those belonging to the upper reaches of the people, always selfless work, always humble person!
汤姆索亚历险记》英文读后感
I believe that one of the factors that makes a piece of literature or even a movie a masterpiece is how well the reader can relate to the story. This is definitely a book everyone can relate to.
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a literary masterpieces, written in 1876 by the famous author Mark Twain. Tom Sawyer is a mischievous young boy who lives in the small town on the Mississippi River called St. Petersburg. The story line is simple, the book reads like a biography or a memoir of a summer in Tom Sawyer's life.
Tom Sawyer seems to be the precursor of and the template for misfit kids such as Dennis the Menace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Calvin and Hobbs. What makes this story great is that Tom Sawyer represents everything that is great about childhood. The book is filled with Tom's adventures playing pirates and war with his friend Joe Harper. Tom has a trusted friend, Huck Finn, who few of the adults approve of. The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only come from a child. It is a story filled with action, adventure, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood.
The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which I'm sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.
The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.
For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.
Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’
That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.
