我好多朋友中已经有不少去过丽江，甚至是二下丽江，三下丽江的都有，所以当他们听说我还没去过丽江，无一不惊诧地叫着：“啥？你居然没有去过丽江？这怎么可能呢？” 有啥不可能的，一则因为我去过云南，只是没有走大理、丽江这条线，二则看了太多的古城，认为很多是包装出来的，实际没有多大的游玩意义，因此也就一直没有去丽江。
直到网上流传着“住在丽江不能超过5天，否则会使人产生自恋”的说法，才激起了我的好奇心，有哪个城市有这样的魅力竟能使人产生自恋？而且那么多的认识不认识的朋友去了回来无不对丽江的风土人情赞叹不已、留恋忘返，无不表示只要有时间，就直飞丽江，哪也不去，就待在丽江好好享受生活、享受人生，这个使我惊讶万分：“至于嘛？”心里想着耳听为虚、眼见为实，于是在2006年夏天时我终于去了一次丽江。
传说中丽江是个适合发呆的地方，去了那才知道这话一点也不假，当白天在时光宛如倒退了二十几年的地方，你呢在一个充满纳西味的酒吧里静静地坐着，只管什么也不想，静的可以听的见自己的心跳，这样的发呆地方还有哪里能找到！在丽江有3天时间我去了虎跳峡、玉龙雪山，然后在古城里兜了一圈后就坐在酒吧里和朋友聊天、喝酒、发呆，那个时候真的是什么也不想，什么也不想做，人极为慵懒地斜靠在吧椅上，没有任何人会干扰你，外国人走过会朝你友好地一笑，那情景至今还在回味...... 传说中丽江的小溪最有神韵，丽江古城建筑最奇的是当初造城建镇者巧妙地调用了清澈的玉泉水，当清澈的泉水缓缓流至城头双石桥下时.此时泉水分做三叉，分别穿街过巷，就象人体的经脉，泉水流遍全城千家万户，形成居民洗菜用水最远不过50米的便利条件。
当你漫步古城街头，随时都有水的淙淙欢唱，清清的溪流穿城过巷，一座座小桥如彩虹横跨小溪，排排垂柳在清风中摇弋，无数小巷弯弯曲曲，纵横交错，如进迷宫，令人心驰神往，泉水环绕连接每家每户，开门即河，迎面即柳，形成高原水乡“户户泉水，家家垂柳”的特有风采，而且你永远不用为迷路着急，只要牢记顺水进城，逆水出城就可以了。
